We don’t have the answers why some people are poor and have great needs, some people are wealthy beyond their personal needs, some people are helpless and powerless, and some people are powerful and may lord it over other people. In God’s eyes, we are all equal and we are loved. In fact, Jesus said that if we give a helping hand and act favorably toward the poor, the poor in spirit, the marginalized, the homeless, the unfortunate, the helpless, the sick, the prisoners, the foreigners and those in need, it would be like we were helping God himself, who blesses abundantly out of His largesse and His riches.
