As I observe it, there is such a malady as belief exhaustion. Belief exhaustion is having to continually to believe for something for a long time without bearing any tangible fruit. Faith is a fruit and a gift from God. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1 NKJV) If we get exhausted from believing too much without seeing any tangible fruit, then unbelief and doubt creeps in, and it cripples us.
God wants to heal our belief exhaustion. God wants to renew our faith. He wants to rejuvenate and refresh us. He wants to create a new person within us. He wants to create within us a clean heart and renew within us a steadfast spirit. (Psalm 51:10 NIV)
