Choose Life

(a chapter from my book, Facing Change)

Frequently, we encounter a confusion of choices out of a vast pool of ideas and man-made religions. They are all competing for our attention, all at the same time. Since the beginning of humankind walking on Earth, humans have tried to figure out the divine, whether it is a monotheistic culture or a polytheistic culture. However, until God chooses to interact with humankind by revealing who He is, we cannot really know the one true God. God asserts a marked distinction between the massive pool of human ideas and the biblical Truth, God’s authority for the Creation of the Universe.

When God created Adam, Adam was created with a relationship with God, and the world was perfect as God had created it. It was only when Adam and Eve sinned that the relationship between humankind and God was broken, and the world became imperfect. Hence, God loved the world so much that He sent the second Adam in the man Jesus Christ, God the Son, Son of God, to restore what was previously broken. The Lord Jesus Christ made it possible for us to return to a personal relationship with God once again when we are born again or born of the Spirit or the second birth when we receive eternal life. [John 14:6 NIV]

God gives us the freedom of choice to choose life. [Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NIV]

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Thank You, Abba Father, Lord Jesus Christ.

Choose Life

Lackadaisical tom-foolery
That’s not what we are about
It is a matter between life or death
The Bible explains

Choose life
Choose life
Make it happen
Choose life

Who is the life?
Who is the truth?
Who is the way?
Jesus said, “I AM”

Believe in me
Connect with me
Obey what I teach
I am the way to life
