In the last year or so, my local church’s youth and youth leaders started the I Heart Revolution, which captured the imagination of young people worldwide. I Heart Revolution released an audio CD and a part 1 DVD that told countless stories of people from all nations all around the globe who are hungry for God and eager to express their hunger in their worship. The I Heart Revolution does not single out young people exclusively but includes all those who are also young at heart. But the proof of the pudding is in the tasting. One youth expressed on Facebook: “It is more than just words.”

“It is more than just words.” How right you are. It shows that Jesus is working in our lives and that the gospel of Jesus Christ is at work within us, which makes us attractive examples and starts a revolution. In a crazy world like today, that should be pretty easy because the world is lost. Unfortunately, there is also massive confusion with many escape routes into rabbit trails that lead to death and destruction. What is it that clearly puts a flag at the entrance to this escape hatch to say that this is the path that leads to life, eternal life? That flagpole is a victorious life and a functional community.
Revolutionaries, Start building our own lives now on the word of the Lord. We have got to pace ourselves for the long term. Tomorrow will happen whether we read our Bible today or not. Five years will occur whether or not we take the lessons from the Bible. Ten years will pass, whether or not we build our lives on the firm foundation of the Word of the Lord. Fifty years will pass us by if we do not. So, work on it daily. Work on faith, hope, and love daily. Strengthen our spirit daily by reading the Word of God and by doing the Word of God. A revolution may happen instantly, but it takes years of fermenting and hibernation for the seeds to explode.

He gives us Faith to move mountains
He gives us Hope to fuel our lives
