Frequently, troubles come my way, though I, personally, have never invited them into my life. I constantly believe that God is my protector and my shield, yet he allows my faith to be tested so that my endurance can grow. [James 1:2-4] encourages us to consider troubles to be an opportunity for great joy, and to allow our endurance to grow.
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
As our faith in Christ grows, our growth translates into visible good works. For the scripture says that:
Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works.
May the grace and peace of Abba Father the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
