Healing Communities and Nations

(a chapter from the section, Inspire the Future, of my book, Heaven on Earth)

I believe that it is everyone’s calling to use their gifts, talents, strengths and weaknesses to heal their communities in this time when there is an international emergency. It is not enough for us to depend exclusively on the UN (United Nations) or on NGOs (non-government organizations) or governments to do the job. We have to be healing our communities where we are at.

It is a big job to build a culture of healing communities because the need is great. Some people are empowered with a healing ministry. Some other people are resourced to help out financially. But everybody can lend a hand in re-building respectful relationships. I see this need particularly in big cities where the cost of living is high, and the stress of living is high.

In poor and small villages and communities, the people have the same respectful relationship needs as in large cities, but their major needs might be more financial. Financial help can be supplied by an external entity. Respectful relationship needs must be fulfilled within local communities with internal resources regardless of financial circumstances.

Then there are local cultural communities in large cities. The global community is diverse in culture. There is widespread movement of people groups between nations. The nations are mixing. Local communities are called to welcome a foreign newcomer into their new home. Be respectful and forgiving. Know the difference between right and wrong. Know how to maintain principled lifestyle for yourself. Know how to teach principled lifestyle to others.

May the grace and peace of Abba Father the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Thank You, Abba Father, Lord Jesus Christ.
In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
