Every Step Forward is a Step of Growth

(a chapter from the section, Inspire the Future, of my book, Heaven on Earth)

Most people who are unaccustomed to change do not like change.

Most people who have encountered forced change know that it can knock you about and take your breath away. You have to take the time out to catch your breath and steady yourself for a time. Just take a moment to take stock of what just happened.

Then you need to take action to plan the next steps in your journey through life. If you have just lost a job, you might need to plan what you want to do next.

Keep moving forward. It is much easier to steer a ship when it is in motion. A rudder, small in comparison to the size of a ship, is able to change the direction of the ship. For those of you who ride bicycles, you know that a moving bicycle is much more stable than a stationary bicycle which wobbles and falls over the moment it slows down to a standstill. So, keep moving forward. There is stability in motion.

You don’t have to move very fast. Just walking pace is good enough. Just take one step at a time if that is all that you are capable of doing. The traction of moving forward stops the inertia from setting in. This traction against the force of inertia results in growth.

May the grace and peace of Abba Father the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Thank You, Abba Father, Lord Jesus Christ.
In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
