The Right Perspective

(a chapter from the section, New Wine for New Wineskins, of my book, Heaven on Earth)

In this world, there are many possible perspectives, angles and opinions. Which is right? And which is wrong? Which is the right way? And which is the wrong way? Which is the way in which we should be heading? And which is the way that we should avoid? How can we perceive the pitfalls and consequences ahead of time? Jesus said “I am the way”. Jesus is the Word of God. The Word of God is the way. He is the pure light that illuminates our way through the darkness of confusion. He shines the light and enlightens us. We experience that God eureka moment when we spend time in the presence of God (in the glory) and He makes a way forward for us to see and to think. He shows us just a glimpse of His glory.

Thinking God’s Thoughts

Being able to see what God sees and think what God thinks is an honor and a privilege. God shares intimate details with His friends. Seek and you shall find; knock and the door will be opened; ask and you will receive. For those that require wisdom from God, ask and it shall be given in generous portions. I remember reading once that Albert Einstein once asked God that he would like to think God thoughts. That was before he proposed the Theory of Relativity. God took him on the trip of his life and showed him a ride along the rays of light through the space-time continuum, and the Theory of Relativity was the result of that trip. I don’t remember reading anywhere that Albert Einstein ever gave the glory of the Theory of Relativity to Jesus. That’s grace – undeserved and unmerited.

Eyes of Faith

Being able to see what God sees is being able to see the faith potential in a situation. Someone might be able to impart healing on the sick because they are able to see healing and wholeness for that person. Someone else might be able to see their financial breakthrough into the future before they experience that, and then see it come to pass. The eyes of faith require that we believe that God has plans to prosper and not to harm us. (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV) The eyes of faith require that we believe in hope of the resurrection of our circumstances into a better place than we were before.

Purity

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. (Matthew 5:8 NIV) Purity in heart empowers us with the clarity of sight to see God things. We become a man or a woman after God’s own heart. Create in us a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within us. (Psalm 51:10 NIV)
