Song of Hope

(a chapter from my book, Facing Change)

Dear Abba Father, Lord Jesus Christ,

Thank You, Lord, for hope. Without hope, we would be a desolate and barren land. We need hope to have the will to live. Without hope, we would be lost and unable to climb out of the pit of despair. With hope, we can have new life, renewal and regeneration. With hope, we can have restoration. With hope, we can rebuild ruined cities. With hope, You can turn what was once wasteland into a Garden of Eden. With hope, after a disaster, we can have relief. Thank You, Lord, for hope. [Psalm 25:4-5 NLT]

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Thank You, Abba Father, Lord Jesus Christ.

Song of Hope

In our generations
We experience belief exhaustion
Betrayed too many times
Again and again
By our human captors

Searching for truth
Don’t know where to turn
Got lost in the jungle
Lost without a compass
Lost without any direction

Grasping at straws
No one sticks up for us
Home camp under siege
World falling apart
In despair and in ruins

I know how that feels
I’ve been there before
Yet Jesus never let me go
Love never gave up on me

On His shoulders
Found hope again
Found a new song to freedom
Now I am a free person again
In the name of Jesus Christ

May the grace and peace of Abba Father the Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

Thank You, Abba Father, Lord Jesus Christ.

In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
